Long Distance Smiles

We recently built and decorated an approximately 5800 sq foot home on Kiawah Island, while living in NJ, and I couldn't have done it without Laurin (&) Beth's guidance, suggestions, expertise, communication and organizational skills. It was a collaborative effort and finished project we are all proud of! Laurin's design and architectural knowledge proved to be exceptional. For example, we have extensive interior woodwork and moldings throughout the house and she was great at communicating and translating the design from blueprint to the actual interior space for us, while proving to be an excellent intermediary between our architectural and construction teams. While onsite, it was clear that Laurin's knowledge and expertise were respected by our builder and their contractors. I had many of my own ideas and furniture from another home that I wanted to incorporate in this new home.

They were very good listeners and respected my ideas, but were also very sensitive and skilled at advising me if they didn't think something would work in a particular space. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of selecting tile, fixtures, appliances, railings, paint colors, furniture, rugs, window treatments, etc. I always looked forward to the days I worked with Laurin (&) Beth. I was always greeted with smiles and positive energy. We shared many laughs during the process, and when we ran into an unexpected issue (as you always do with a project of this magnitude), they took responsibility and found solutions in a timely manner. After we received our CO, they were onsite as furniture and rugs were delivered, guiding all the moving parts. Upon completion of our home, they presented me with a binder that details every decision we made room by room. My family loves everything about our new home. I would highly recommend TDC and would work with them again in a heartbeat!
